It is the pathological swelling caused by the poor functioning of the lymphatic system. It usually appears on the legs but it may also appear in the upper limbs.

It is a major medical condition and in Cyprus statistically affects about 3,000 people, mainly young women. The problem is that the correct diagnosis is made very rarely correctly. Where a proper diagnosis is made, the misconception that ‘nothing can be done’ is widespread. The result is that many of our fellow humans are left without any assistance and trapped in a situation that is gradually deteriorating and because of the chronic pain it destroys their life. In the same category of diseases, venous edema and lipoedema are included.

The only worldwide medically acceptable treatment for lymphoedema (swelling legs, Tired legs syndrome) is lymphatic massage. (MLD - Manual Lymph Drainage). In HighTechMed we have chosen as the most appropriate treatment for lymphatic massage the computerized Endermologie therapy. This choice is evidenced by modern medical studies and our 30 years of study and experience. This treatment increases the lymph circulation by more than 300%.

The treatment time is divided according to the problem, between lymphatic massage and Endermologie therapy with special focus on lymphoedema treatment.

This combination therapy is applied with excellent results and achieves:

  • more light and rested legs from the first session
  • excellent oxygenation and nourishment of tissues
  • neutralizing edema
  • restoring the elasticity of the skin and connective tissue

In many cases cellulite and lymphoedema coexists. In such cases starting with treatment of lymphoedema is mandatory. No results can be obtained by accessing cellulitis first.
The results of all the treatments are supported by measurements and photos taken before, during and after treatment.
